Autumn Colors, More Fabric, and Homecoming

Okay, I know I just showed you a bunch of fall color pictures last week, but here are some more.  Gotta enjoy it while we have it, right?

Love the oranges in this one.

Also, here is my latest winnings :)  Four different green and pink fabrics, and a pattern from Jean.

It's her own design too :)

Last week was homecoming here in town.  I took the daycare kids to the parade.  A lady was out in front of one of the local realty places giving away free popcorn, so we had a little of that before the parade began.

It was a very short parade.  Normally they have it on Friday at 11, but this year it was on Thursday at 2 - right in the middle of naptime :(  And boy did we need our naps by the time it was over.  Anyway, our niece was leading the marching band - directing it :)  She had to march the whole route backwards.

The high school kids really get into the whole theme of it, dressing up cars, themselves and the whole town.  We have great homecoming spirit here.  All the businesses let the kids paint their windows and streamers and balloons are normally everywhere in green and orange.

The kid on top of this car is from our church - in my husband's teen Sunday School class.  He's also the center on the football team and does a great job.  The game was great - they were ahead for awhile, then tied for a long time, then scored with less than a minute left on the clock.  Lots of drama and great fun :)  Unfortunately as soon as we got home, the baby started throwing up.  He has a cold and I think it was triggered by coughing and all the mucus.  The good thing is that after he was sick, he was in a great mood and fine from then on.
