Football Again

Thursday night was our third game in the local youth football program.  There are four teams - our son is on orange, #75, and they play against each of the other teams - white, green and black - once.  So this is the final game played within the program.  Now they start  11-man practice (they've been playing with 8) and will play two games against kids from other towns.

They won the game last night 18-12.  So they beat two of the teams, and lost to the black team.  Our son has really come a long way.  Last night he played better than ever.  He made a couple sacs, some great blocks, and forced a safety.

We had decent weather for the game, but a storm moved in toward the end and we had very strong wind.  But it was much more enjoyable than the last game, where we nearly froze to death (or at least it felt like it).

The 4th and 5th graders now go on to form the 11-man team.  He is really excited to move on to that.  Next year he'll move up to the middle school team.  Hard to believe he's almost old enough for that already!

The paparazzi - I'm gonna have to get these boys their own cameras!

  1. Football is a sure sign of fall. Looks like they're all having a lot of fun.
