Hike #3

Actually we've been on several hikes, so this is more than number three, but this is the third location.  There is a walking path around our town in several locations.  This one goes up the big hill by our cemetery.

There were the usual rocks, sticks, and snowbanks to play with, but this loop goes by some pretty big sagebrush.  Most sagebrush around here is no more than 2-3 feet high.  But if you look behind the two year old you'll see some pretty big bushes.

The bush in this picture is over 7 feet tall.

We also spotted a small herd of deer.

There were four in this group.

We came home with a couple of tiny pine cones (this is my two year old's hand), and a pretty large stick.  The five year old decided this was a baby pine cone ;)

Then we came home, watched online streaming of Ambassador Baptist College's 25th anniversary Bible conference, which features a lot of alumni we know.  It's been so good, and very encouraging.  After that, we watched an amazing sunset, and cooked up breakfast... for dinner - pancakes (allergy free and regular), link sausage, and my husband's amazing scrambled eggs.

Now it's time for dominoes. :)  It's been a good day.
