Final Day of Fair - (Last Saturday)

Well, I think I mentioned that my blogging is a little behind.  These pictures are from last Saturday.  We had to pick up the ten year old's fair entries and ribbons, so after the fire department open house, we headed to the fair.

Remember how the five year old was so terrified by the clown?  Well, all week he talked about the clown, and said he wanted to see him, and we ran into him right away.  Surprisingly, the five year old carried on a whole conversation with him, and we visited with him for more than 10 minutes.  I'm noticing that he tends to freak out about stuff the first time he's around it (the clown, being in the parades, etc) but the next time it is fine.  So I just need to make sure to repeat events that were scary within a week or so.

The little boys were insistent on visiting the petting zoo again.

They had a cow you could brush.  Thanks to the horseback riding lessons, the five year old knew right away what to do.  At MESA, they always start and end with brushing the horse.

The three year old thought that was pretty fun too.

We discussed that this is "dinner." :)

These were odd sheep.  They're called Jacob sheep, and had 6 horns.

And this is a Watusi.  Glad he was behind the fence with those big horns (though I'm sure he was very easy going, this being a petting zoo and all).

I thought the horns on this sheep were interesting.  I didn't think to see what kind he was.
