Last night celebrated my husband's birthday.
The seven year old made a sign...
The 18 year old made a cake...
And the bowl full of candles made a bonfire ;)
The seven year old thought Dad ought to warm his hands over the "campfire" since the cake had a camping/fishing theme.
Surprisingly he was able to blow out all the candles with one breath. His dad (Papa to us) jokingly had ahold of our fire extinguisher, which is mounted on the wall to the right, just outside of the picture (it's a daycare requirement, but it was funny!).
See all the remaining smoke? Not sure how we managed to not set off the smoke alarms.
Our daughter thought it would be funny to add a Bible verse... "And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things." Genesis 24:1. This was ironically a verse that my husband had studied a couple nights before his birthday and had joked about.
It was a fun night. My husband's parents took us to dinner, along with his sister and her family.
He opened his presents after dinner at our house, then we had cake and ice cream.
He had a little help opening the presents from the two year old. His third birthday is later this month, so it was a good trial run for him ;)

Happy birthday to your hubby. Mine was on Nov 1. I did not have any candles ( 51) so no visits from the fire dept, giggle. Hugs
