It took awhile for him to just take one.
Step 2. Go find the matching sock. The socks were draped over the fence.
Step 3. Find the "washing machine" and bring the socks to be washed.
Step 4. Put the socks in the washer, and make a lap while they are "washing."
Step 6. Repeat :) Such a fun idea.
It was perfect "first day of fall" weather too. During the horseback riding session, I sat at the picnic table, snacking on a nice crisp fall apple, and reading ... or at least trying to. It was very distracting today with all the beautiful colors and the fun lesson to watch, so I didn't get much actual reading done.
The colors are so bright this year.
These pictures with the reds are from a drive we took Sunday evening close to sunset. We have more reds this year than I've seen in a long time.

Both of the little boys have colds. One night the three year old's chest sounded so rattly that I had him sleep with us so I could keep an eye on him. They both seem better now. Still have runny noses and occasional coughs, but neither one ever had a fever or acted sick, so we're thankful for that.
He tells me this is a fireman. Clearly. Can't you see the hat? :)
Time to get out the crayons and the typing or tracing paper to make those leaf pictures! Hope everyone is feeling better soon. Go
