A Picnic In the Meadow

We had a lot of fun at the church dinner Friday night.  Got some better pictures of ourselves too.

It was a lot of crazy fun. The theme was picnic in the meadow, so we had picnic type games - bean bag toss, frisbee, horseshoes, etc.  Our main speaker for the night also is a genius with balloon animals.

He made me a moose.

At the end of the evening a couple sweet older ladies gave me their balloon animals to bring home to my boys.  The green one is a rabbit and the orange one was a little turtle, but the shell was already losing air when I took this picture.  The long piece with a ball on the end is a shooter he made my husband (and several others in the room.  It works somewhat like a rubber band - you stretch the tail and let it sail.  These were flying all over the place the whole time. :)

This is our pastor.  He was telling jokes at the beginning.  Such as "What do you call blind deer?"  Answer - "No ideer"  Yeah.  They were all like that.  Our main speaker topped him though.  He's the king of jokes that make you groan.  He told a few too -
Q: What do you call a cow with no legs?  A: Ground Beef
Q: What do you call a cow with only two legs? A: Lean Beef
Q: What do you call a cow that's just given birth? A: Decaffeinated
Boo

After he had made balloon animals for everyone (50+ of us)  he made a tiara for Pastor.  Pastor was busy trying to lead the games.  By the end of the night, he had no voice.

My mother-in-law was sweet enough to keep the boys for us, and to feed them dinner (her famous sourdough pancakes).  By the end of the night, they were worn out.  The five year old fell asleep before we even made it the five miles to our house, and the two year old was about there too.  They had a great night with Papa and Bugga.
